8 Months Old!
It is hard to believe, but our baby girl is now 8 months old! She weighs around 17 1/2 pounds, and is starting on some very basic table foods. Unlike her older sister, she really seems to prefer her baby food. (Mary Joyce never really cared for baby food.) Katherine is beginning to babble--she has started the "da da da" baby talk--so cute! She still is such a smiley baby, and it takes quite a bit to get her upset. She is now sitting very well on her own, and really would like to crawl. She is just barely starting to scoot, though, and hasn't quite mastered that yet. And the big news, you can see in the pictures below! When we were visiting our friends in Georgia this weekend, Katherine stood on her own for the first time. Chet placed her in the position, but when he let go, she stayed there for quite awhile. She seemed very pleased with herself. :-) Is it just me, or is she growing up way too fast?

Happy 8 Months sweet baby girl! I can't believe you are already 8 months old! It won't be long and you will be blowing out the candles on your first birthday cake...can't wait to see pictures of that!
Happy 8 months old! She is growing way too quickly Dusty:) I look at her pictures and they are reminiscent of every photo I have of Emily - makes me miss those happy baby days - still happy just getting big enough to not be able to cuddle in my lap (wahhhh)
