Katherine has a Big Girl Bed!

Katherine has taken another step toward being a big girl. She moved up into her twin bed on Saturday. She has been fascinated with Mary Joyce's bed for awhile, and the toddler bed was getting a little snug for her and all of her animal entourage. So far, she loves it! (She looks so tiny on that bed, though.)

Malcom is 7 Months Old!

Our sweet Malcom is now 7 months old. He is still such a smiling, happy baby boy. He is really turning into a babbler, and has already started in with the "Mamamama" and "Dadadada" babbles. He isn't crawling yet, but between rolling and scooting, he can get anywhere he wants to go.

Thanksgiving Lunch at Preschool

Chet and I attended our first preschool Thanksgiving lunch as parents. It was very nice, and well-organized. And, Mary Joyce was the most adorable little Indian. Her Indian name for the day was "Shooting Star."

That's our girl...

Katherine's Kit-Kat

Katherine picked a Kit-Kat for her after lunch piece of candy. It was her first, and her eating technique was unique. She licked all of the chocolate off the outside and left the cookie. Needless to say, it was a mess...

Mary Joyce picked a lollipop. Much neater...

And a Malcom picture, just because...

*Edited because I misspelled Katherine's name in the post title. Bad mommy!*

Lunch with Cousins

On Saturday, we met Chet's cousin Richard and his family for lunch in Jacksonville. It was fun and gave us a chance to catch up, since we only see each other about once a year or so. (Richard and Mandy's daughter, Katie Jane, is almost a year younger than Katherine, but the are about the same size. KJ actually outweighs Katherine by a little.)

Trick or Treat!

Here are our costumed cuties. :-) Malcom was a white tiger, Katherine was a ladybug, and Mary Joyce was an angel.

Pumpkin Patch 2009

We made our yearly trek to the pumpkin patch, but we went to a different one this year. We had been down to Daytona, and this one was on our way home. They had a nice photo area set up, but they didn't have as big a selection as the other patch. The kids didn't care, though. They had fun picking out their pumpkins. :-)

September Update

I have been a really bad blogger lately, and I apologize for the lack of updates, but with 3 little ones and a house that we are trying to get back to normal post-construction, things have been crazy around here.

On September 13, we celebrated the third anniversary of Mary Joyce's Gotcha Day. We really don't go overboard with celebrating, but we talked about why the day was special, and she wore her "China Dress" to church. We also let her pick the place for lunch, and she picked our favorite Chinese buffet restaurant. Mary Joyce is also loving preschool.

Malcom is growing by leaps and bounds. He turned 5 months old on the 21st, and he is wearing 6-9 month sized clothes already. He loves baby food, and is eating 2 full jars a day already, one at lunch and one at supper. He is also rolling all over the place. Look out, world, when he gets the whole crawling thing figured out!

Katherine is also growing. She is talking more and more every day. Her favorite word of late is that two-year old staple--"No!" Funny thing is, she says it in such a cute way that it doesn't come across as obnoxious. She is still just a sweet-natured little girl who is shy around strangers and people that she doesn't see often.
