Preschool Mother's Day Program

Here are some scenes from the Mother's Day program at Mary Joyce's preschool.

This is the placemat she made for me. Notice that she said I am 40 years old, which I'm not yet, and that my favorite food is spaghetti, which is her favorite food (not mine at all). She also said that a place I take her for fun is to preschool. I'm glad she likes preschool, but it sounds like we never take her anywhere. :)

A Visit from the Louisiana Grandparents

My parents were able to come out for a visit on the weekend of Malcom's birthday party. I didn't do such a great job getting pictures that weekend, but here are a few...

Malcom is One!

Malcom turned one year old on April 21. I really don't know where the past year has gone. Our little boy has grown so much, and is just a joy to have in our family. Here are some pictures taken on his actual first birthday, and the post below is a slideshow of pictures from his first birthday party, which we had the Saturday before. My parents were able to be here for his birthday party, and that was pretty special. :-)

Their Own Computer

As much as their daddy and I are into computers, it was inevitable that the kids would have one of their own before long. The girls got software for Christmas, and they inherited our old Mac mini. They are having a lot of fun with their Sesame Street software. Mary Joyce is quite adept at the whole computer thing. Katherine hasn't quite got the whole mouse thing figured out yet, but she's getting there. For now, she's content to watch her sister. Malcom enjoys watching them play, too.

Coloring Easter Eggs (2010 Edition)

Here is our annual dying of the Easter eggs. Mom's note for this year is "always boil an extra egg." The last 2 years, we've ended up with an odd number because one broke while boiling. The girls had a good time, and next year Malcom will be big enough to "help."

Malcom Mischievious

Malcom is in that "into everything" phase of existence. Here are a couple of examples. How can you get too upset at such a cutie?

All of that mischief-making can tire a little guy out!
